I started babysitting eight years ago and have experience taking care of children from the ages of one to ten. For five years I worked at my church nursery, playing games and presiding over the all important snack time! I also spent time as a nanny in the mornings and have experience getting kids ready for school and the rest of their day. Currently, I am on exchange at UCL where I am taking the year to explore more of London. Back in the States, I am a student at the University of Washington, where my focus is developmental psychology. As part of that, I have interned at Seattle Children's Hospital where I worked with children struggling with a range of developmental and behavioral disorders. As a result of my background, I favor a compassionate, empathetic, and flexible approach to childcare that takes into account the individual needs of each child, while also believing in clear boundary setting. I grew up with dogs and am glad to help with pet care. I am also comfortable in the kitchen and happy to cook when needed.
