I have been babysitting for a few years now for people in my local area. I have dealt with a range of different ages from 1year – 12 years + with different abilities. I have an excellent record of working successfully with families in different settings. During my experience, I have developed strong skills in supporting young children, and am genuinely passionate about providing the best child care and play experiences. I feel that Working with the elderly taught me a number of valuable skills that I feel also relates to childcare. ● Learning great patience and understanding. The residents were often difficult but it is always important to continue delivering the best and making sure the resident is looked after. ● Gaining experience making difficult decisions under pressure, these could often be life or death situations. ● Due to the condition and capabilities of some of the residents I had to think laterally and insure that the residents were safe and well cared for at all times.
