I am 22 and currently studying for my masters degree in social work. I am the eldest sibling of 8 so I have experience babysitting and taking care of my siblings. My mum is a single mum so when I lived at home I would collect the children from school when she was at work, take them to their swimming lessons and help them get ready and unready. I would take them home, cook dinner, bathe and put them to bed. I would also sometimes get up and take them to school. I have experience babysitting for family friends on an evening if they were going out but also through the day. Although I do not drive I would take the children out to do activities because I am very capable of using public transport and love walking. I currently work for an agency and mostly do work in a specialist school for children between the ages of 3 and 11. This is something I am so passionate about as my youngest brother had autism and sensory needs. I also have experience in a mainstream primary school. Last year, I did some volunteering for 5 months within a respite children’s home also, this was the most amazing experience.
