I have dedicated my entire career to improving the lives of children and young people. Whether through therapeutic support for families as part of my management role in an early-years setting, my mentorship and empowerment of young women in the Disha House refuge (Varanasi, India) for the FairFight foundation, or my coaching of young people of all ages through my Tang Soo Do clubs I have strived to make every contact count, with a proven track record of doing so. I believe that my partnerships with children and parents through my work make me a better athlete and instructor. I’ve worked directly with children, young people and families facing difficult situations for many years, with a focus on child development, safety, and security. All the settings I have worked in have naturally come with high safeguarding responsibilities, and a consistent aim to improve child outcomes and possibilities, often through implementing strategies for their physical and emotional wellbeing.
