Last year I worked as a Teaching Assistant at a primary school and I have gained invaluable experience in supporting children. This role has equipped me with a deep understanding of the diverse needs of children and effective strategies for engaging them in educational and fun activities. I worked both in KS2 and KS1 including Reception, so I have experience with a wide range of age groups. Additionally, this means that I have a DBS check and fire safety, and food safety qualifications. I am currently volunteering at the same school alongside my studies. My main responsibilities with KS1 involved running phonics and reading sessions so I have skills to help children in their steps to learn to read. I have also volunteered with children at camps and groups for many years which means I have picked up some key skills such as patience, responsibility, creativity and fun!
