I am the eldest of three in my family with a substantial age gap of 8 years between myself and my youngest sister. I spent a lot of time taking care and helping to feed/wash/ look after her when she was young and believe this may have given me some experience babysitting. I am a swim instructor of 6 years and work with young (3 upwards) to adolescent kids on a regular basis which has also given me some skills and experience teaching and looking after children. In previous years I volunteered in a special needs school and completed a placement term in a primary school assisting teachers with their classes so I believe between my own family experiences and external experience I would be a good babysitting candidate. I am also a doctoral researcher (from Ireland) in Lboro University which occupies most of my morning hours but I would love to engage and help out families with some babysitting hours in the afternoon/evening/night .
