I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder for the past twelve years. Previously I worked as a Primary School teacher specialising in Key Stage 1 for nine years. I have a breadth of experience and knowledge in how children learn and develop, and I love my job! I have a part-time vacancy from March 2018, have a full-time vacancy from September 2018 for an under five year old. I also have a few slots available for before and after school care for Pound Hill Infant and Junior Schools. I have three daughters of my own aged 8,12 and 14, and my husband is registered as my assistant to help whenever necessary. I create a friendly, caring home-from-home environment where children feel safe and enjoy having fun whilst learning a range of skills and following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We have busy mornings where we visit toddler groups, the local family centres, parks, the library and much more. After a healthy and nutritious lunch we have a more restful afternoon playing quietly at home before school pick-up time. Then the children of different ages enjoy playing together inside and outside in our fully enclosed garden, often enjoying a craft or baking activity. I have a wide range of toys, games and books, and I regularly borrow toys from the local toy library. I have excellent references from my childminding parents and received a good grading, with outstanding features in my previous Ofsted inspection. I have a range of relevant qualifications including my degree, first aid, safeguarding, and more recent training.
