Coming from a big family with lots of younger cousins, I was the designated babysitter where I would play, eat and watch cartoons with all of them! I love teaching children of all ranges Maths, English and science as children are the best of learners. I also attend my hospital placements at St. Thomas's and Guys hospital three times a week and I am constantly seeing paediatric patients who are at vulnerable points in their lives - here my communication and examination skills are tested with both parents and children respectively. I have also been a chemistry tutor for a year where I taught A-level students how to grasp difficult concepts at their own pace. Currently, I run weekly mentoring sessions where I teach specific medicine related topics of the students choice followed by talking students through exam style questions to consolidate their understanding. Having loved growing up with children all my life, I realised in school I wanted to become a paediatrician and help unwell children get better. This lead me to pursuing a career in medicine. I look forward to further developing my communication with children and to have a job that doesn't feel like a job!
