I am a nanny/babysitter looking to work part time. I have seventeen years experience working alongside children aged between 0- 14. I first started in Childcare in 2001 when I joined an After School Club and qualified in 2002 as a Play Worker. I loved it, especially as it gave the children some way of 'letting off steam' at the end of a long school day. After this, I joined a Family Community Workshop as a Child project worker. Here I introduced Arts & Crafts and did lots of other activities with the children and young mums. I was then asked to join a Day Nursery where I spent six years in a baby room as a Nursery Key Person and was responsible for my own group, aged 1-2 years. I also had experience with the toddlers and rising 5's. I have always enjoyed working with children as I find it very rewarding. I take childcare very seriously, and I am very passionate about what I do, and do it to the best of my ability. I believe it should be a fun and enjoyable experience, and also in 'old fashioned values' such as the importance of p's & q's and respect for one another. For the past two years i have been a nanny in private families. Being a nanny in a local family unit would be my ideal job.
