I am a social worker in training and have just began my third year studying at RGU. I am currently on a 80 day placement at a care home, working with older people. I have a caring nature and a passion to make the world a wee bit of a better place. Through the teaching I have received at university, I have a well established understanding of many learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and a good understanding of sociology and psychology in children. As well as a sound theoretical knowledge, communicating with and understand children is an area that I have been heavily emerged in during my time at university. Due to this, I believe I have very good communication skills with children and can begin to understand their needs and wants very quickly into an interaction.
