I have worked in nurseries and primary schools and in early years setting abroad and in the UK with children aged 3m to 4 years. My last role saw me look after my key children which I had 7. Before this I worked in Thailand and NZ in similar settings. These roles saw me in charge of the children's emotional and educational development. I have also worked at after school clubs with primary aged children. This role included preparing snacks, creating fun educational activities for them and also homework help! I am a degree qualified actress, having worked mainly in children's theatre. I am not afraid to get messy and I believe having a nurturing bond with the children in my care is important. I'd say I'm more suited to look after children in the early years stage as this I where most of my experience lies, however I would also be comfortable to look after older children too. I have an enhanced DBS that is on the update service so regular checks are made. I made the choice to leave the nursery I was working at to peruse another opportunity, however I have not lost my passion for childcare or education and would love to carry it on. I'm looking into starting my PGCE.
