Hello my name is Jen and I'm a level 3 qualified teaching assistant currently working part-time at a primary school. I also have a foundation degree in children, young people and their services and a BA Hons degree in children, schools and families. This eventually will enable me to be a primary school teacher. I've always worked with children in the education sector and really thrive from it. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have a kind, friendly and excitable disposition. I work hard but also am a relaxed and calm person. I engage well with children and understand children's needs and interests. I have over 10 years experience of working with children aged 0-12 years old. This has been at a range of settings such as nurseries, family homes, primary schools in varying roles such as a senior midday supervisor, teaching assistant and nursery nurse. I have experience of planning and carrying out a range of activities to meet the varying ages of children in my care. Some of the activities that I've done that the children have really enjoyed has been foot painting, maths hunt, story treasure chest, exotic fruit tasting, feely boxes, junk modelling, phonics etc.
