First off, as a Student Midwife I have experience in caring for infants as young as the newborn stage. I have completed my first aid course in Babies, Children and Adults, and have undertaken classes surrounding baby care such as feeding, bathing and safe sleeping. My experience with toddlers solely comes from the babysitting jobs I have completed in the past for family friends and neighbours. For children of primary school age I have been a Rainbows Leader for 3 years. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s of Midwifery, and have higher qualifications in a range of subjects such as English, Maths, Science. I have completed 200 hours volunteering with Saltire Awards, and have gained a pharmacy services qualification within Lloyds Pharmacy.
