I am a 23 year old graduate available for babysitting on weekdays and weekends. I am based in Shawlands but am willing to travel if my costs are reimbursed. I've been a regular babysitter for local families since a teenager, looking after children from preschool to late primary school and often take care of my partner's 8 year old sister - playing games, reading, making music, and doing artwork with her. I also set up the first drama group at my school catering for first year students and so am confident working with all ages. While working with a Science Centre in Glasgow, I welcomed school pupils and assisted them with their visit, and ran science workshops for 5-12 year olds. I received my Disclosure Scotland certificate and extensive training in care for and safety of children. Furthermore, I underwent a training day to become an after school care assistant where I learned about encouraging child interaction, observing behaviour, maintaining a safe environment for the children, organising activities, and how best to communicate with children.
