I am a second-year Psychology student in pursuit of gaining experience working with children for potential future jobs, and also to help fund my university fees.
In the past, I was a part of Wimborne Girls' Brigade where we would be allocated a group of the younger members (ages 6-10) and assist them with tasks. I have also been a volunteer assistant for children's drama classes (Helen O'Grady). When I was in Sixth Form, I was chosen to be a mentor for a year nine student (13 years old) which involved meeting twice a week to catch up and go over schoolwork. In the same year, my friends and I created a lunch-time support group for the year nine and ten students. Finally, although it is not the same as looking after children, I have a cat that I am responsible for and I regularly dog-sit my parents' puppy.
