My proudest achievement is working as a sole responsibility nanny with a family of triplets for six years. In this role I provided physical, emotional, social and intellectual care. I prepared meals, planned activities, and managed appointments and clubs. I recently met with the children, now aged twelve, and it was such a pleasure to see the wonderful young people that they have grown into. Raising these children in their home environment gave them the space for their unique abilities to grow. I am a qualified teacher wIth experience in EYFS and KS1, providing me with a depth of knowledge and strategies that feed my practice. I use my own initiative to develop creative ways to inspire children and encourage them to challenge themselves. As a Phonics Subject Lead, I am confident in supporting children with early reading and writing. I have also mentored several student teachers studying. I always try to consider ways in which I can further develop and this has been a motivating factor in my search for a new role. I am seeking to learn, self-improve and enjoy my work as an educator and childcare professional.
