I am a primary school teacher with 10 years teaching experience, teaching across all of the primary age ranges including in Nursery. I hold a current First Aid certificate and I am Team Teach trained, which focuses on descalation strategies. I have a current DBS. I love working with children and exploring new adventures. My teaching experiences are invaluable as I am aware of current legislation and Safeguarding policies. I can use basic Makaton and elements of British Sign Language to communicate. I am passionate about teaching and encouraging children to explore the world around them. I enjoy spending time outdoors and a bit of rain is not a problem! I can see learning opportunities in every task, location or activity. I consider my job to be one of the most important roles in the world and take it very seriously. I am able to manage risks, while offering children the opportunity to learn and grow. I am able to make swift decisions when needed and can offer you a firm but fair approach. I am more than happy to support after school learning. Currently, I am seeking new challenges and to explore the wider world of child care.
