I am currently a teacher in an autistic primary school with 4 years’ experience. My previous employment with mainstream and SEN children have allowed me to see the importance of positive influence on children in order for them to grow both academically and socially. I have obtained qualifications in health and social care, a degree in sociology and experience working within a nursery and a school. I am paediatric first aid trained and I have also obtained a qualification in Makaton as well as being cleared on the relevant DBS checks. My experience is not just based on theory, as I have previous work whereby, I was responsible for a primary aged child which entailed managing their school and play schedule and all extracurricular activities. My most recent experience has been with autistic children whereby the skills I have learned are beneficial to all children. My academic qualifications and hands-on experience combined, provide the highest standards for the children that I care for. I pride myself on maintaining a clean and organised household. I am certain that my skills and qualifications make me the perfect candidate to help a family in providing the best care for children.
