Currently working as an ina in a primary school, I have babysat on numerous occasions when younger, and enjoy looking out for kids. I am able to cook well and organise meal times. I am confident in taking children on local outings eg to the beach, a park or cafe (within walking distance). As I have previously worked as a tutor, I am ideal for homework help! I will also gladly look after older kids, having run classes for 10-13 year olds, and can ensure they don’t feel ‘babied’ as many do when babysat! I have experience with adhd, asd/asc and in teaching dyslexic or developmentally delayed children. If I can be given appropriate resources, and know any routines used eg warning systems, build up to bedtime etc, caring for kids with sen is something I’d really enjoy. I would always prefer to meet the children and discuss the job prior to its date, so you and I feel more at ease. Gwen x
