Hi! I’m Gracie. I’m an 18 year old girl from Northumberland and I’m currently finishing studying for my A levels at Newcastle High School For Girls. Over the past two years I have worked as a baby sitter for the children of my parents’ colleagues / friends but I have un-paid experience prior to that. My godmother has severe epilepsy and since she had her daughter Esme who’s now 7 I have stayed with them to assist with caring for Esme when my godfather was away with work for anything between two days to several weeks; I would perform tasks that were more difficult for Sharon such as bathing, dressing, feeding and changing Esme. I’ve continued to do so as she’s grown up and I’ve loved getting to know her little personality as she’s gotten older. I’ve always enjoyed working with children - I’m hoping to study paediatric nursing at university in the future - so I can have a career that combines caring for children and medicine (which are my two biggest interests).
