My name is Grace, I am 20 years old. I am currently employed by my local council to work with children with difficulties, this can range from non-verbal to children with ADHD or autism. I have a lot of responsibility within this role, I am first aid trained, medical, fire, food and hygiene, allergy and asthma trained. I am very confident with personal care and have worked with children in groups and children who are in need 1-1 assistance. This summer I worked abroad with children in Italy for a company called Bell Beyond, where I was a Tutor. During this time I was responsible for a class of 10-15 children with English as their second language. I currently work in a nursery in Worthy Down since September 2023 and work with children as young as 6 months up to 5 years old here. This has given me experience with infant and taught me many skills like, changing nappy's, feeding and soothing. I have lots of younger family and my grandmother is a foster carer so have had a lot of experience with children who have social difficulties.
