Hi, Im Grace! I currently work at a nursery and have a full DBS check, paediatric first aid, health and safety and food hygiene qualifications. I studied English Language, Psychology and Health and Social Care at A-Level and was fascinated about how children learn and adapt to their surroundings, as well as wanting to care and look after different individuals. After my A-Levels I went on to work for the NHS as a Maternity Support Worker, assisting a range of women before, during and after childbirth. My qualifications, including my care certificate (allowing me to care for individuals) has given me many advantages. However, I no longer work for the NHS and switched occupation to be a nursery practitioner. I am mainly based with the younger ages (3months-2 years) but am qualified to work with toddlers and preschoolers, as well as those in primary school. Im a hard worker and am interactive with the children under my care. Working within the baby room, I have to understand my key children’s routines and understand different ways to engage them and encourage their learning through play.
