I am a full-time student studying philosophy and economics at the University of Edinburgh, therefore I am only available for the occasional evening babysitting. I have joined the Children's Holiday Venture Society, where I am in charge of a group that takes 8-12 year olds out to fun activities. Through this I have my Scottish PVG certificate and First Aid certificate. Over summer I nannied for a family with three children; a newborn, 1 and 2 year old. Most of the time I was there I was given full responsibility of the two older children. I organised activities for them, cooked lunch and helped with bedtimes. In the past, I volunteered once a week for a year through my school Ampleforth college at a local nursery. I have volunteered with children with disabilities through a charity, caring one-on-one for a week for a teenager with autism. I also attended a pilgrimage to Lourdes where I was responsible for caring for people with illnesses.
