. I am 24 years old and currently live with my family in Felpham.I studied to become a qualified social worker in child protection in Hampshire. I worked in this team for 2 years.I learned a lot about child development and the impact of family life on a childs social, emotional, mental and physical health. I am now training to become a primary school teacher and I work with a variety of children aged 5 to 11. Even though the drive for becoming a teacher is to teach the next generation academically I strongly believe a school environment is key to making a child happy. I believe in strong working relationships to get to know my pupils personally and individually so that their education matches that of the care and attention they get at home. Since the pandemic I feel children have missed out on their own personal and social development and pressure has amounted to hurry these children to get the stages they should be at. I do not agree that these pressures should be in place and children will flourish with the right support, care and compassion. I have also had experience in the foster care sector and working with children with epilepsy and other learning needs. I strive to be the best I can be in any aspect.
