I have worked with children for 2 years. I started off at Derby Hospital as a health care assistant, taking care of children in theatres and on the children’s ward providing basic child care. During that time I have looked after children with learning disabilities and complex needs. I then went on to looking after a child with complex needs in their own home, providing basic child care and medical care. I currently work as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities but would like to go back to working with children. I do have childcare experience as I have looked after my cousins and brother for a few hours since I was 18.
