My experience of working with children spans 10 years and that is with those aged 3 right up to 18. I worked as a support assistant in a secondary school, helping students aged 11-16, who had additional needs. These needs ranged in severity. I have experience of Down Syndrome, Autism, mental health issues and many more. I worked at this school for 9 years but prior to this, I worked in Primary schools, so I have vast experience with different age groups. I have run my own lunchtime clubs and assisted in after school and holiday clubs, providing a range of fun and educational activities. I also worked as a PA for a child with Autism and Cerebral Palsy. In both these roles, I help the youngsters access clubs and leisure activities, assisted with homework and helped them socialise. I have been on many different training programmes relating to different needs and I have a full DBS check. I also have business insurance on my car. Over the years, I have helped with childcare with younger siblings and colleagues children, so I can provide a range of references.
