I am a 21 year old university student looking to work within childcare. I took some time away from academics before starting university, and I worked as a volunteer teaching assistant at a primary school for 18 months, working with children aged 3-8. I received safeguarding training and an enhanced DBS check whilst in the role. I am a fun, confident and compassionate person who wishes to work with children, creating a safe, fun and calm environment. My experience as a teaching assistant has given me the skills to deal with, at times, stressful situations whilst keeping a positive and calm approach.
