Hello! My name is Finlay I am 21 and a recent graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University (Fine Art BA Hons) and I have moved home to Eastbourne. I have been considering a career path/further education in teaching or counselling children as I feel strongly about children’s needs being heard. I am creative, respectful and patient. Throughout school I was a regular babysitter and tutor for a number of families in Paris. I cared for children and babies aged between 3 months to 13 years, in the International community within which I lived. This work required me to be attentive, trustworthy, playful and reliable. I regularly collected two French children from school. I was responsible for cooking their dinner, helping them with their homework and to improve their English language skills. I found this work rewarding and exciting. I have also done some online training with Zen Educate on safeguarding children within school, specifically SEND children. I am best at tutoring English, though feel confident with other subjects. I volunteered with a reception class in the Junior School when I was in year 12. I supported the teacher, helped children with their reading, assisted with activated and PE and playground duties.
