I have been babysitting for 5 years, starting with children of family friends of ages ranging from 5-16 years old, then extending to other families through recommendation. I spend last summer volunteering at Parkside Centre for Children with Learning Difficulties in Aldershot as a carer, entertaining and teaching the children in the centre and assisting with daily excursions e.g. fun fairs and swimming pools. As part of the training from this job, I had a week of intensive training, including a basic first-aid course. I have also volunteered with Shine Summer School Initiative at Farnborough Hill school tutoring underprivileged children of ages 11-16. Volunteering in India for a month in 2016 involved engaging and teaching English to junior school aged children. For 3 years, I ran Maths Club at my secondary school where children aged 11-16 could come and receive maths tutoring after school and during lunchtimes.
