I have extensive work experience in working with children with both physical and mental difficulties. I have extensive experience in both childcare, animal care and cleaning. I lived in Turkey during the summer holidays as a full time aupair from 2013-2014. I looked after two children aged 5 and 7 from 8 am - 8 pm 5 days a week. I cooked basic meals for their lunch and did house chores. I also taught the children English, helped them with their homework, took them swimming and played sports with them. I have also volunteered at The WESC Foundation, a specialist centre for the visually impaired. I ran a homework club, supporting students with their studies. The students had a range of difficulties and each student required a different programme of support. This role required patience and empathy as many of the students found it difficult to express themselves. I also had a childcare job for a family last year in Nottingham, the family had three children. I looked after them and cooked for the family 3-4 times a week and can ask for a reference if necessary.
