I have always been surrounded by young children and babies and have always enjoyed looking after them. I feel I was destined for a career working with children and nannying seems to include everything I would enjoy doing professionally. In 2020 I began a BSc (Hons) Midwifery degree but withdrew nine months into the course due to the current environment within the NHS, and the pressures relating to such a currently overwhelmed and underfunded system. As a student I learnt key skills that could be applied to a nannying role. I’m warm hearted and happy to turn my hand to anything. I’m always eager to learn new skills and grow as an individual. Cooking is a passion of mine so I would be happy to cook from scratch if needed. Many mothers I have met credit me on my natural ability to bond with children; with children gravitating towards me given the chance. I find that I’m able to connect with children on a deeper level and provide them with the same level of care and attention that you would expect from a mother. In the past 2 years at my job in a cafe it's given me the time to really think about what I envision my future looking like. I’ve always seen nannying as an option, and after lengthy research I am excited to take this step.
