In June 2018 I completed my level three childcare and education diploma at College. Part of the diploma required us to do over 365 hours of placement work in a variety of settings such as nurseries and primary schools. I have done placements at College nursery, Clyst Heath Primary school and Primary school and their nursery. Working in these placements over the two years gave me so much experience as my college tutor would come in regularly and assess my work with the children and I was also required to plan and do different activities for groups of children based on the EYFS framework which in turn helped me really understand the different areas of development and also to make sure the activities that I did with the children were suited to their ages and abilities. When I finished college I worked at Sid mouth nursery as a nursery practitioner where I had responsibility for caring for babies and also toddlers. I have also baby sat from the age of 16 for family friends which has ranged from babies to children. As well as taking children to and from different activities and after school clubs.
