I have previously done work experience on a children’s ward where I shadowed nurses in seeing the importance of childcare. I helped comfort children and families, planned fun activities with the children and helped with meal times such as bringing their food over and encouraging good eating. I have previously looked after family and friends of family children ranging between newborn-8yo. Although I knew the children i made sure that I acted as a caregiver while they were with me, making sure they had stimulating activities and were safe. I’ve always aspired to work with children yet never perused the career option. I have 3x Distinction stars in health and social care level 3 extended diploma.
