I currently work within a primary school, so I do have experience working with children up to the age of 12. During my time working within the school, I have worked with a range of ages and abilities including special educational needs. I have also been babysitting since I was 13 years of age, caring for 6 month old babies up to 14 year olds. During this time, I would prepare meals for the children, complete any school work/home work, bathe them and put them to bed. I have a very caring nature and adore working with children. I like supporting children and young people to develop their understanding of things and increase their imagination. I think it is also important that a child is able to carry out day to day jobs so I do promote independence as well as supporting them with tasks/situations they find challenging. I find working with children highly rewarding. Due to my current work I am unable to work during the day (school hours), however I am able to work weekends, after school care / evenings as well as potentially school pick ups depending on location!
