My name is Lizzy, and I have 5+ years experience working in an exclusive boarding school for children aged 8-13 as a matron. A matron's job is essentially to be a temporary mother to the children under her care while they attend school - as such, I am well experienced in handling both large numbers of children, as well as a wide range of needs and expectations for each child. I have done everything from laundry to food service, nursing sick children and hospital visits to attending sports matches to cheer them on. Some of my children have been neurodivergent, and some have had very low English skills, and I make a full effort to connect with each of my charges. I am young, energetic, and love a bit of fun! I'm not adverse to playing a game of tag or sitting down for coloring, but I also keep a good schedule and don't let things get out of hand.
