I am a mother to a 4 year old little girl, I have quite a large family with lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. I have looked after both my god daughter and nieces and nephews on a regular basis whilst their mum's went to work full time. And now they are all going to school and in after school clubs I'm looking for another child/children to looks after. I don't have childcare qualifications as such but I do have life experience, I also worked within the care sector for 5 years, 2 of which were home care assistance and 3 were in a residential home. You may feel this has no relevance to caring for children but you'd be surprised to know both sectors are very similar, they both require, care, compassion and understanding. They also require diversity and ability to deal with tough or upsetting situations. Due to my work history I have had various CRB checks and would be happy to undertake another if required. I would be required to have my own child with me if the hours overlapped with her pre school hours or during holidays so please bare that in mind. However that could help with giving your child/children a little play friend and company.
