During my time with coaching and being within the care system I had interacted with various children with different behavioural and social issues which required more attention than others. After gaining some experience each time it made myself realise the importance of gaining a trust and relationship that was educational and productive for each individual which is beneficial for the children once they progress to more open and social surroundings. Like mentioned before when working with children with additional needs it requires patience and a full understanding to adhere to their needs where required. Most importantly it’s important to give the support and balance that out with providing education affectionately. I am a very patient person. I understand that children learn in different ways and at different paces, this is something that I regularly encounter when I am coaching gymnastics. I therefore ensure that I have a variety of different ways to explain how to be successful to ensure that all the children have success when learning new skills.
