I have really always enjoyed working with children and find it very rewarding. During high school, for example, I volunteered at our local church community and supervised groups of children during events that had been organised for children to play or do little projects. During a gap year, I was an au pair in Scarsdale, NY, USA, where I took care of four children, aged 5 to 15. My responsibilities there were very versatile, from helping the children get dressed and ready for the day to playing with them and engaging them in fun activities in the afternoons to light housekeeping tasks like tidying up and meal preparation. During my undergraduate programme, I further worked as a private tutor for English and Maths, so I would be able to help out with homework in the afternoon in a fun and engaging way. Currently, I am babysitting from time to time. As you can see, each of these different positions have taught me different things. It is because of these versatile experiences, along with my positive attitude and friendly nature, that I am a qualified babysitter/nanny.
