I am a young 22-year-old enthusiastic individual with a love of caring for others. In the week, I am a special needs teaching assistant. I also care for a young male with down syndrome who communicates through makaton. Throughout my time at university, I discovered my love for children and young people. Therefore, I would love to find more people within my local area to care for and have fun with! I really enjoy helping others maintain their independence and providing others with an empathetic and caring environment. At the forefront, I hold respect as the main quality as I am supporting many different areas of their life, for example, their happiness, health and day to day wellbeing. I have a clear awareness that the support they receive is highly impactful. In addition, I display reliability within my work, I have the knowledge that some clients heavily rely on myself for tasks such as eating, drinks and taking medication. For me, clients safety is always paramount when in my duty of care.
