Hello my name is Elana. I have spent the last 2 winter seasons working as a childcare nanny, in a small team in a holiday resort, caring for babies and children up to 13 years old. I worked on a 1:1 ratio for under 1's. 1:2 ratio for 1-2's and 1:3 ratio for 2-4's. This is to give you an idea but will depend on the setting and any other children in my care, if you have older children too. In between times I worked as a nursery assistant, working with larger groups and with 1:1 children requiring additional support.
