I have grown up babysitting my younger siblings and local families in my area. I started a degree in child nursing at Southampton university 2 years ago and I’m starting a gap year before my final year. I have also done occasional shifts at a nursery. With my degree I have completed many shifts in different hospital settings allowing me to work continuously with children and families from all walks of life. I’m my course we have covered many different health and safety modules, first aid, basic life support, and in hospital I’ve been able to work with children not just to care for them but help in play and learning. I am free to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons til evening.
