My name is Deon! I’m in my final year of studies University of York, studying criminology. I am someone who loves as well as enjoys caring for children. The previous experience I have with children is through family, friends or neighbours- where I’d baby sit up to 4 kids at a time. I have 4 younger siblings myself which is a big factor with why I love working with children. I always have a positive attitude, a smile on my face and a really friendly aura. I’ve previously helped past children I’ve baby sat academically (with English, maths, science homework) helping and pushing them to perform the best they can academically; whilst creating and maintaining a calm and safe atmosphere for the children. I also can prepare and cook for children ages 2+, preparing healthy meals for them. I also enjoy wholeheartedly taking part in activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor activities, reading and writing with children giving them a place to be themselves and have fun safely, and educationally whilst making it a fun and enjoyable learning environment.
