Hi! My name is Claire.I was born in the US, and grew up in Arizona. My family moved to London three years ago and now I go to University at Cardiff Uni! I have always been passionate about child care and child development. I have worked as a babysitter since I was 13, starting off with watching family friends children after school for 4-7 hours (sometimes going into the evening). Once I moved to London, I worked for families where I would watch their children almost every day after school and sometimes overnight on weekends. I have volunteered at after-school programs playing with kids, helping them complete homework and make friends (twice a week for a year). I have also worked as a tutor, every day after school for two years and as a teachers assistant for two hours during the school week every day for two years. I love playing fun games with kids, seeing what their minds can come up with, and love inventing new ways for us to have fun and keep busy. However, I also understand the importance of needing down time/rest time and will always pay attention to children’s needs and what makes them feel the most comfortable and happy.
