I volunteered in a nursery one day a week for a year (2021-2022) which was really fun. I enjoyed encouraging the kids to indulge in messy play, reading and arts and crafts. On my university placements I have spent lots of time caring for newborns and advising mothers and expecting mothers on the care of newborns. I currently work as a support worker in a respite home for children and adults with learning disabilities. I support them with personal care, daily activities and tasks and enjoy socialising with them.
