Hi my name is Chloe, I am 23 years old and I live in Sheffield. I have worked in childcare for 4 years now, mainly as a nursery setting with 2-4 year olds during the day. The role was to run as a nursery 9am-3pm with lots of learning activities and getting children ready for starting school. I have also worked with babies as young as 6 months. After the first year I started working with older children (up to the age of 12) which involved morning school runs, after school runs and the centre ran as an after school club which included; snack time, meal time for children that stayed late, activities etc. I really enjoyed working for the nursery/childcare centre however I am wanting to slightly change this to working with just 1 or 2 children. I have also babysat for families, mainly in their homes, occasionally in mine; including through the day, preparing tea and putting children to bed, taking children out on activities, occasionally overnight.
