I am a mother of 3 children and grandmother of 7. My work history was in the catering field in my late teens and early 20's. I stopped work to have a family then got involved in my community and was involved and part of committees and forums aiming to address issues in the community. I started volunteering as a befriender and youthworker...gaining experience to gain a post as a detached youth worker. I worked for 5 years leaving to go to university. Over the last 15 years I have worked in various roles within the homeless field and for the last 5 years i managed a day centre for the elderly. I was made redundant due to the centre closing.
