Throughout my working career I have gained knowledge and understanding of Every Child Matters. I have a wide experience of assessing children’s development and at what stage they are currently achieving, to help them to move on to their next steps (Target Tracking) this is something I do on a regular basis with the children I have had in my care. I take into account a few key points when I do this, such as: Unique Child, the individual child’s stage of development. Positive Relationship, how I will help the children achieve their next steps, giving all Equal opportunities. Enabling Environment, how or what, I can do to their environment to help them achieve. I also work closely with Parents and other Professionals to help develop in all areas of Learning, some of which include; Nursery’s, Primary Schools and Health Visitors, giving them a detailed assessment of where the children are in their stage of development.
