Hello! I'm Bethan, a student studying Children's Nursing at the University of Manchester. I'm looking to do extra work to support my studies. I've done various babysitting and child minding for a whole range of families over the past few years. I did the odd bit of babysitting as a teenager and when I was previously at university (I did a couple of years of medical school before coming to Manchester), but more recently spent the two years working at a church. About 70% of my week was spent in youth and children's work - leading youth and kids clubs, helping at crèches and toddler groups, working with teenagers. I worked with newborns up to 18 year-old. I recognise that it is an enormous privilege to help look after children, and a huge joy. I love music, games, and imaginative play. I'm happy to help your family in whatever way I can - whether that's keeping little ones entertained, helping with homework (can't promise much with Physics but everything apart from that is OK!), cooking, cleaning. While I don't have a formal first aid qualification, we have received some training on this as part of my nursing course, and I am in the process of getting a DBS check as part of the course too. I have previous DBS checks from prior jobs.
