I have experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant in both a Special Needs Secondary School in Liverpool and also in a Mainstream Primary School. I have experience working with children from 5 - 19 years old. Before becoming a Teaching Assistant, I worked as an Outdoor Instructor for 3 years, teaching children (and adults) how to rock climb, canoe, kayak, mountain walk etc. I am a very fun and chatty person, however I know how to be firm when needs be. I have most recently worked with a year 6 boy who has Autism and Behavioural Difficulties. I am currently working with a year 4 boy who has physical disabilities - working with children who have special needs is not an issue for me. From the age of 13 I helped look after my younger sisters, aged 3 and 11 at the time, cooking their teas, cleaning the house, bathing/showering them and entertaining them until my parents got home from work. I am First Aid trained, therefore any bumps and grazes that your children may get I will be able to deal with easily and appropriately. I am available for immediate starts.
