Previously volunteered as a primary school learning support assistant, helping children to practice their reading and speaking skills. Since, I have worked with a local charity supporting vulnerable and disabled adults. Aspects of the job included; supporting clients to purchase and cooking healthy and balanced meals, accessing the community such as driving clients to and from social groups, community classes and courses. Also, supporting clients to make healthy decisions regarding exercise, diet, spending and savings for future goals. As well as helping clients to stay organised at home, with support cleaning and organising their laundry, personal hygiene and medication. Finally supporting clients with fun activities both at home and in the community.
